Martignetti Companies to Acquire Girardi Distributors, LLC Distribution Business
TAUNTON, MA. - Martignetti Companies, the leading distributor of wines, spirits, and beer in New England, today announced it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Girardi Distributors, LLC in Massachusetts, marking another milestone in its growth strategy.
Girardi Distributors, LLC is a fourth generation, family-owned beverage distributor established in 1933 and services the Western and Central Massachusetts markets from facilities in Athol and Pittsfield, MA. The Company represents the Anheuser-Busch portfolio as well as a range of other beer, wine and spirits products. It has been operated by George R. “Buddy” Girardi and Judith A. Girardi since 1982 and has an outstanding reputation in its industry and the communities it serves. The Company is recognized for its integrity, exceptional support to customer and supplier partners and commitment to its associates.
This acquisition extends Martignetti’s total beverage alcohol strategy to represent beer, wine, spirits and alternative product categories to its customer base across New England. This latest transaction follows Martignetti’s two recent acquisitions of Anheuser-Busch distributorships in Massachusetts in 2024, Quality Beverage and Anheuser-Busch's AB One Boston operation, building on its position as the region's leading distributor.

The transaction is expected to close this fall.
